Born from the land
I'm Sören Jensen, founder of Ozoroa and a Namibian to my core. I grew up on a farm in this remarkable country; red dust roads, open skies, and a sense of space that stays with you for life. That upbringing shaped everything: the way I see this land, the way I move through it, and the belief that drives Ozoroa forward.
My family has deep roots in Namibian hospitality. Growing up around our lodge near Windhoek, I watched guests arrive as strangers and leave having found something they weren't expecting. That is the experience I set out to build on and to take further.

The name
behind the brand
The Ozoroa is an indigenous tree of southern Africa resilient, striking, and found almost exclusively on mountains and rocky escarpments. Elevated places. The kind I have always been drawn to: a ridgeline before sunrise, the silence of a high pass, the perspective that only comes from going where most people don't.
When it came time to name this business, the Ozoroa felt right in a way nothing else did. It speaks to strength, to wildness, and to a quiet refusal to grow anywhere ordinary.

Namibia is one of the last truly wild places on earth, ancient, vast, and humbling in its scale. It deserves to be experienced properly, not rushed through. At Ozoroa, we give you the freedom to explore on your own terms, supported by the kind of local knowledge that only comes from a lifetime lived here.
